Scientific American article...autism is different in girls

The link above is to the Scientific American article titled "Autism--It's Different in Girls" that I reference in my TEDx talk (Neurodiversity: the new normal, on YouTube sometime the beginning of 2022). This article changed my life. It expanded my view of what I thought I knew about autism...having worked for 20 years in the field I certainly thought I understood...but I didn't. This information didn't start to come out until about 2016 (!!!). Research had focused on boys, had thought that girls looked the same, which they can...but often don't. As a result we're often missed, which is a big problem.
